KSG Engineers is proud to have served as the structural engineer for the new Royersford Commons Apartments, a vibrant new multi-family development located along Main Street in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Recently completed and now open to residents, the project transforms a previously underutilized site into a modern residential community that contributes to the ongoing revitalization of the borough’s downtown corridor.
Working in collaboration with Architectural team and Burkey Construction, KSG provided complete structural design services for the apartment building, including the foundation systems, framing design, and lateral load-resisting systems. The team’s coordinated approach resulted in a cost-effective and durable structure that met project deadlines and long-term performance objectives.
The completed development offers residents high-quality apartments with contemporary finishes, thoughtful amenities, and convenient access to town shops. The project exemplifies KSG’s continued commitment to reinforcing our clients’ vision through practical, buildable engineering solutions that strengthen the communities we serve.
At KSG Engineers, we believe every project tells a story. The new addition at the Torah Academy of Bergen County (TABC) is more than steel, concrete, and foundation—it’s a story of vision carried upward, of legacy reinforced, and of future generations inspired.
Building Above While Life Continued Below
Designing and constructing a 7,000+ square foot vertical second floor addition above an active school brought a challenge few projects demand: ensuring that education never paused while expansion soared overhead. The school’s halls remained filled with students, learning and thriving, while just above them, beams were raised, decks were placed, and a new chapter was being built.
Our structural design solutions included:
Long-span steel framing with moment frames to achieve open, flexible spaces without interrupting the school’s footprint.
Micropile and grade beam foundation systems, engineered to deliver deep, reliable support while accommodating existing conditions and not overloading the existing foundation system.
Carefully sequenced construction that allowed the new second floor to grow seamlessly, while daily operations continued without disruption.
A Space Designed for Growth and Innovation
The addition provides TABC with far more than square footage—it provides a framework for the future. Inside this expansion lives an:
Expanded Beit Midrash, enlarged by 50% and anchored by a breathtaking glass wall that connects tradition with modern inspiration.
Science Wing, empowering students to engage deeply with discovery and technology.
Arts and Electives Hub, including a music studio, broadcast center, and art studio that nurture creativity and collaboration.
Student Center, a gathering place that fosters connection, leadership, and community.
Dedicated SINAI Schools space, built for inclusion, ensuring that every student has a place where they belong.
Together, these environments do more than meet the needs of today—they anticipate the needs of tomorrow.
Honoring Legacy, Elevating Vision
This new wing, known as the Rabbi Yosef Adler Building, stands as a living tribute to leadership, tradition, and forward-thinking education. It reinforces TABC’s “Building Our Future” campaign by delivering spaces that reflect both Torah values and the pursuit of academic excellence.
Reinforcing Education, Reinforcing Tomorrow
At KSG Engineers, our role was to ensure that every beam, every column, and every foundation element aligned with this larger vision. The result is a structure that embodies strength, adaptability, and purpose.
In reinforcing education, we are reinforcing the future. And in every project, we remain committed to what has always been our mission: Reinforcing Your Vision.
Last week, our team was in Ocean City, Maryland to check progress on one of our latest projects: 75 Bayside — a new luxury townhome development helping reshape the midtown district.
With construction well underway this townhome is planned to deliver multi-level coastal living, with open interiors, expansive balconies, and elevated views — but achieving that kind of design in a challenging coastal environment requires careful structural coordination.
KSG’s structural engineering team was engaged early in design, helping to translate architectural vision into buildable structure, while ensuring long-term durability and performance in this coastal zone.
Our work at 75 Bayside has included:
Framing systems optimized for open living spaces, maximizing interior flexibility while maintaining structural integrity
Load path continuity across multiple levels, supporting the project’s expansive balconies and cantilevered features
Coastal resilience measures: designing for wind loads, lateral stability, and moisture durability specific to the Ocean City environment
Close collaboration with the architect, developer, and construction team throughout construction
While in town, our team was also surveying and scoping several new projects we’re beginning work on across Ocean City. The demand for thoughtful, well-engineered coastal living continues to grow — and we’re proud to help bring these visions to life.
Reinforcing Your Vision — that’s our mission on every project, and it’s exciting to see that mission taking shape at 75 Bayside.
