Eco House Private Residence: Shelter Island, NY
Our Eco House project is internationally recognized for its unique design and construction design. The private residence is located off the coast of the Peconic River, between the North and South forks in Long Island, New York is complete. This spectacular project included a 2,025 sf main building with a 1,400 sf stand alone pool house. The project is green and includes electric car charging stations, solar panels, radiant heated floors and steel cantilevered canopies that provide shade on hot summer days.
Keystone Structural Group provided structural engineering services for this project. The main superstructure of house is constructed out of concrete, the facades articulated by design to create a pattern, but mostly used for rapidity of construction, durability, and ease of upkeep. The upper portion of the Pool house is cladded with Cedar horizontal variable width and depths siding boards.
