We’re excited to welcome Kevin Regep, our Structural Engineering intern, to KSG Engineers for the summer!
Kevin is currently studying at Penn State University in the Architectural Engineering program and we’re looking forward to supporting Kevin’s professional development during his internship and beyond.
Kevin hit the ground running this week, joining Principal Anthony Shulde, P.E. on a site inspection for one of our latest projects under construction in Yonkers, NY.
Our structural engineering team has been hard at work designing one of our latest projects in Philadelphia, PA! The project is named Chapel Block and it will be located at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
Planning and engineering have been completed and permits issued for largest construction project at the Navy Yard since the 1996 base closure.
When completed the project will include a seven-story building and two connected six-story buildings, totaling over 600 luxury and mixed income apartments. All three buildings are designed to meet LEED Silver certification.
This project is important to the city of Philadelphia and important to the growth of the Navy Yard area.
KSG engineering team provided structural engineering for the project. When complete the project will total approximately $300 million dollars. Check back soon for construction progress.
After 10 years in the making, the Hedges at Hawthorne design and construction is complete!
Located in Hawthorne, NJ, the Bedrin Organization and March Associates partnered to develop and construct the brand new luxury apartment building, self-storage building and retail center located at 204 Wagaraw Rd.
The apartment building features 118 condo-style apartments with luxury amenities, like an expresso coffee bar pet spa and dog park, wine tasting room, rooftop terraces with NYC skyline views, on-premise salon, fitness studio, and outdoor dining space. On site, the developers also constructed a 120,000 climate controlled self-storage facility and retail center featuring a Planet Fitness.
KSG provided structural engineering for for the apartment building and retail center. Teaming with project architect, Studio 5 Architecture, KSG designed the apartment building utilizing structural steel and wood framing. The retail center was designed utilizing structural steel and open web steel joists.
Total construction cost was approximately $65 million.
The Gateway Senior Living Community, located in Fishersville, VA is complete!
Fishersville, VA has a new Senior Living Community. Completed in 2022, this new four-story building has 80 units and provides housing for seniors 55 and over with limited incomes.
To speed up construction, the design utilized modular wood construction, which is built offsite, transported to the site, and assembled quickly once the foundation is in place.
KSG provided structural engineering for the project.
