Eco House Private Residence: Shelter Island, NY

 

Our Eco House project is internationally recognized for its unique design and construction design.  The private residence is located off the coast of the Peconic River, between the North and South forks in Long Island, New York is complete. This spectacular project included a 2,025 sf main building with a 1,400 sf stand alone pool house. The project is green and includes electric car charging stations, solar panels, radiant heated floors and steel cantilevered canopies that provide shade on hot summer days.

Keystone Structural Group provided structural engineering services for this project.  The main superstructure of house is constructed out of concrete, the facades articulated by design to create a pattern, but mostly used for rapidity of construction, durability, and ease of upkeep. The upper portion of the Pool house is cladded with Cedar horizontal variable width and depths siding boards.

Fairfield Inn & Suites: Selinsgrove, PA

This project features a new 4-story hotel with 70 rooms and high end guest amenity spaces including an indoor pool.

The structural system for the building is load bearing CMU walls, steel framing and hollowcore concrete slab construction.  KSG is the structural engineer of record for the project.

Hotel Tru by Hilton: Grantville, PA

This project features a new 4-story hotel with 93 rooms and guest amenity spaces.  Total building square footage is over 44,000 SF.

KSG is the structural engineer of record for the modular structure.  The building superstructure is constructed with modular box wood construction.

Courtyard Marriot Hotel: Carteret, NJ

This project features a new 4-story hotel with 123 rooms and guest amenity spaces.  Total building square footage is over 70,000 SF.

KSG is the structural engineer of record.  The building foundation consists of shallow concrete spread footings.  The building superstructure is a hybrid structural steel and wood framed building.

The Craft Apartments: New Rochelle, NY

The Craft Apartments affordable housing building project is located at Union Avenue & 1st Street, in New Rochelle, NY.  The project consists of 75 residential units in a six-story building with multi-unit retail space on the ground floor. The building also includes an interior parking garage for 89 vehicles.  The project site is close to the Metro-North train station and within walking distance to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.

The basement and first floor will be constructed using concrete and structural steel, while the upper five floors are constructed with wood framed bearing walls and floor system.

KSG is the structural engineer of record.  The building foundation consists of deep driven steel micro-piles and cast-in-place concrete pile caps.  The structural system consists of two stories of steel frames parking structure with five stories of stick-built wood stud construction above for the apartment portions of the building.

The Saw Pit Apartments: Port Chester, NY

The Saw Pit Apartments feature a 38 apartment unit, 4 story building, constructed over a retail space.  Total approximate square footage is 35,000 sq. ft.  Keystone Structural Group is the engineer of record.

387 Huguenot St.: New Rochelle, NY

387 Huguenot St Apartments will feature 60 multi-family units constructed over a parking garage and retail space.

KSG is the structural engineer of record.  The building foundation consists of a large mat foundation founded on bedrock used to resist hydrostatic pressure.  The lowers levels of the building are steel framed parking structure.  The steel parking podium will support wood framed apartments.

852 Raymond Blvd.: Newark, NJ

852 Raymond Boulevard, in Newark, NJ’s, will feature a new five-story apartment building.  The ground level floor will provide off-street parking for residents, while the upper floors will 16 apartment units totaling 31,000 gross square feet.

30 Locust Ave.: New Rochelle, NY

Designed for occupancy by students at nearby Monroe College, this five-story, 94-unit residential building is designed in compliance with the new form-based zoning adopted in New Rochelle and was completed in the Fall of 2018.  The building also has a full basement.

The ground floor superstructure houses resident parking and is designed as a podium to support the 4-story wood frames apartment units above.  The apartments are constructed utilizing economical, wood-frame modular construction systems to helps minimize construction cost. Features include a landscaped terrace and ground-floor common area providing amenities for students.
